Agari, a leading email security provider, has announced a brand new solution to help B2B companies with targeted phishing attacks by understanding the legitimate identity of email senders and detecting imposter emails.
Dubbed Email Cloud Identity, a new capability in the Agari Email Trust Platform™ that simplifies and automates the process of identifying, monitoring and managing emails sent on their behalf by third-party email senders. The new capability verifies online email identities based on insight from their machine learning engine that analyzes ten billion emails per day. This enables enterprises to easily identify and authorize legitimate email communications, block malicious senders, and protect enterprises from advanced email attacks including phishing and business email compromise (BEC).

Targeted phishing attacks pose as a major threat to enterprise security today. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that since January 2015, business email-related incidents rose by 270% and amounted to more than $2.3 billion in losses in less than two years. Further highlighting this growing problem, Verizon’s 2016 Data Breach Investigations Report found that 30% of targeted phishing attacks were opened by recipients in 2015.
