CloudFlare rocks. Their decision to acquire StoptheHacker.com is a brilliant move. The acquisition catapults CloudFlare out of the CDN silo, and into the ecosystem of the cloud security industry. The next step for CloudFlare is to integrate the malware scanning service into its infrastructure, and start building additional security features around it, to further differentiate itself from the competition.
CloudFlare Joins Akamai and Incapsula
CloudFlare joins the elite group of Security-based CDNs, with the other two being Akamai and Incapsula, that are growing horizontally outside of CDN space, and into cloud security ecosystem. These three CDNs offer security features above and beyond the typical SSL, WAF, token authentication, geo-blocking, IP filtering, URL filtering & so on.
