There are approximately fourteen CDNs based in the US. The annual revenues for Akamai and Limelight Networks are public information. The annual revenues listed below, for the remaining twelve CDNs are my best estimates. I don’t count ChinaCache and CDNetworks, since their HQ’s is overseas.
Also, I don’t count AT&T and IBM, as they resell Akamai. According to my estimates, Akamai has 58% of the US market share, based on revenue. For the global CDN market, if I were to guess, Akamai has about 72% market share, based on revenue.
