CDN VC Funding Snapshot – July 2015

Categories

Venture Capital funding continues to flow into the CDN Ecosystem at a healthy pace. Distil Networks just raised $21M in Series B, bringing its total to $38M; Qwilt raised $25M in Series D, bringing its total to $67.1M. The twelve start-ups listed below have raised a total of $448.2M. In the next six months, we’ll see another 2-3 start-ups raise additional rounds. Aryaka Networks has raised the most, followed by Instart Logic and Qwilt. The interesting data point in the matrix below – Series C is the round that receives the most funding. On a side note, if CloudFlare goes public and reaches $7B in market cap – that’s a very good thing, as it will raise the profile of the CDN business model to new heights.
