In a week or two, Fastly becomes a Tbps CDN

Categories

Fastly.comIn a couple of weeks, Fastly will become a newly minted Tbps CDN. We’ve been tracking Fastly’s Bandwidth Speedometer for the last eighteen months. They have come a long way in such a short period of time. On June 15, 2015, we predicted Fastly would reach 1Tbps by year end. Wrong. They did it two months earlier. Today, they’re at 964Gbps, just a few Gbps shy of hitting the major milestone of 1Tbps. In the last three months, Fastly increased its bandwidth by 300+Gbps. Therefore, we are updating our predictions: Fastly will reach 1.3Tbps by December 31, 2015, and 3Tbps by December 2016. Great job Fastly Team. Here is a history of their traffic.
