The US CDN industry has raised $827M in venture capital so far, inching closer to the $1B mark. ClearSky raised $27M in Series B on November 2, 2015, bringing its total to $39M. What makes this round impressive is twofold: 1) ClearSky just came out of stealth mode two months prior in late August 2) One of investors in Series B was Akamai. ClearkSky “clearly” has an innovative business model that is quite unique compared to the competition, and Akamai’s investment is a certified validation of the matter. Here’s a recap.
